Heavyweight Fishing Rod Crafting: Every Material

The two recipes

Both rods are made at the rod seller, cost 50 Gems, and carry a listed 50% chance to fail. Budget two attempts — 100 Gems — for each.

Heaven Piercer Rod — 100 Power, 36 Luck

Pure Diamond Rod — 100 Power, 30 Luck

Heaven Piercer wins on stats — same Power, six more Luck — so if you are only crafting one, craft that.

Why the recipes are easier than they look

Four of the eight materials come in pairs that share a weather window. Both Flying Fish spawn in Wind on Perch Isle; Sanguine Fish and Draconic Koi both spawn in Blazing Sun on Amber Isle. That halves the waiting.

Two more are not weather-gated at all. Rainbow Bait and Frost Bait are crafted at the Bait Seller and summon the Rainbow Dragon Fish and Frost Queen Fish on demand. Save those for hours when the weather is wrong everywhere.

That leaves exactly two materials you genuinely have to wait for: Heaven Piercer Turtle in Coconut Isle fog, and Frost Kingfish in Frost Isle snow.

The materials pay twice

Three of the eight also drop something on top of being a crafting material:

• Frost Kingfish drops the Cloud Ascension Orb.
• Frost Queen Fish drops the Sage Yijiu Orb.
• Rainbow Dragon Fish drops the Qian Gate Orb.
• Sanguine Fish pays 20 Gems — the biggest single payout in the game — and drops Twelvefold Resolution at 10%.

So a Pure Diamond run funds its own 50-Gem cost several times over if you farm the Sanguine Fish while you are there.

The Sacred Bamboo question

A crafting guide published on August 30, 2026 describes a third craftable rod, the Sacred Bamboo Rod, needing Nameless Octoparasite, Reborn Puffer Beast, Ascended Perch and Mountain Fish. The game’s own board lists Sacred Bamboo as a rod skin obtained from Giang Lao, not as a craft.

Both cannot be current. Unconfirmed as of August 31, 2026 — if you have crafted it, the board is the thing that is out of date.
